The biomorphic structure of the light frame combines static forces with flowing forms and emphasizes the refined edge profiling of the top. Twist is a wonderfully organic-looking solid wood table, available in oiled ash, oak, or American walnut, or in one of many beautiful stained finishes. Solid wood doesn't have to look heavy - the Twist series from Zeitraum is proof!

Stain

Stains preserve the natural structure of the wood. This was particularly important for ZEITRAUM, as the furniture pieces are unique due to the natural grain and color variations of the wood. This is maintained by the typical semi-transparent appearance of the stain. ZEITRAUM invests a lot of effort in surface treatment, which requires artisanal skill and cannot be applied automatically. Many individual steps of sanding, wetting, drying, staining, and re-drying lead to the perfect end result, which is extremely durable. The microstructure of the wood is grainy, which makes the stained wood appear naturally matte and capable of developing a patina, despite its coloring.

ZEITRAUM developed the color palette in collaboration with the design studio Formstelle. Nature served as a model for the gray nuances, more precisely, the weathering-related stages of wood graying. The colorful accent colors create targeted contrasts.
