TWIST OFFICE – a desk for the home and office. The tabletop presents itself as an elegantly shaped freeform that ergonomically conforms to the user. The innovative design breaks with the conventional desk motif.

Color Stain

When staining, the natural structure of the wood remains visible. This was particularly important for ZEITRAUM, as the furniture is unique due to the natural grain and color play of the wood. This is preserved by the typical semi-transparent appearance of the color stain. ZEITRAUM puts a lot of effort into the surface treatment, which requires artisanal skill and cannot be applied automatically. Many individual steps of sanding, wetting, drying, staining, and drying again lead to the perfect end result, which is extremely durable. The microstructure of the wood is grainy, making the stained wood appear naturally matte and capable of developing a patina despite its coloring.

ZEITRAUM developed the color palette in collaboration with the design office Formstelle. Nature served as a model for the gray nuances, more precisely, the weather-related graying stages of wood. The vibrant accent colors, when used deliberately, create contrasts.
