Furniture was a significant purchase and was often passed down. Certainly not simply thrown away after a few years. It was industry and marketing that tried to teach us that furniture was subject to short-lived fashions, and that it therefore made no sense to build furniture elaborately with valuable materials - and, of course, not to pay much for it.

We absolutely do not share this view. When furniture is built with such high quality and timelessness as Zeitraum's Side Atelier series, these marketing slogans do not apply. Then we are talking about sustainability in the best sense, about durability and a low carbon footprint. Then you will enjoy it for many years, and it is worth paying the high price because it will amortize over decades. There is a whole family of beautiful cabinet furniture. Made in Germany

This furniture is built from solid wood! No layered panels, certainly no chipboard or MDF.

The Sideboard program is based on the 'Modulor' theory of proportions developed by Le Corbusier. The proportion and arrangement of the drawers, doors, and flaps deliberately avoid the rigidity of symmetry, yet appear balanced in their asymmetrical arrangement.
