Samurai

While studying mid-20th-century hunting chairs, designers Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl created a modern interpretation of the low hunting chair type, whose construction is inspired by Japanese joint manufacturing combined with Danish stick chairs from the 1950s. Samurai is a highly regarded piece of chair manufacturing, based on the stick chair construction popular in the 1950s, which combines various turned oak parts that support seating comfort and tectonic geometry. The chair is beautifully completed by a highly crafted round oak section that meets the backrest in an elegant shape, completing the iconic Samurai silhouette. Samurai is offered with saddle leather, which wraps around the chair like armor, supporting the body with ease. The seat is mounted with brass rivets to complete a durable and high-quality piece.
