Furniture used to be a significant acquisition and was often inherited. At least it wasn't simply thrown away after a few years. It was industry and marketing that tried to teach us that furniture was subject to fleeting trends and that it therefore made no sense to build furniture elaborately with valuable materials—and, of course, not to pay much for it.

We absolutely do not share this view. When furniture is built with such high quality and timelessness as with Zeitraum's Podest series, these marketing slogans do not apply. Then we are talking about sustainability in the best sense, about durability and a low CO2 footprint. Then you will enjoy it for many years, and it is worth paying this high price because it is amortized over decades. There is a whole family of beautiful cabinet furniture. made in Germany

This furniture is built from solid wood! No layered panels, certainly no chipboard or MDF. only the back panel (available optionally for a 7% surcharge) is veneered plywood, or solid wood for a 9% surcharge

The sideboard program is based on the 'Modulor' system of proportions developed by Le Corbusier. The proportion and arrangement of the drawers, doors, and flaps deliberately avoid the rigidity of symmetry, yet appear balanced in their asymmetrical arrangement.
