The Mikado lamp owes its name to the classic Mikado game, where sticks are tied together in a bundle and then fall haphazardly in a circular pattern when released. The radiant light of the Mikado lamp, with its outward-spreading wood veneer strips, is reminiscent of a bird's plumage. Ingeniously constructed, the Mikado's shape appears both chaotic and harmonious at the same time.

Designed by Miguel Herranz, the Mikado is a free spirit that exudes a certain casualness and a playful, mischievous charm. Its profile resembles a sparkling kaleidoscope of patterns.
