The design of Woodnotes' Midsummer paper yarn rug is a combination of narrow stripes reminiscent of the colorful ribbons on a Maypole, creating a picturesque play of colors. The Finnish design company Woodnotes was the first in the world to use paper yarn for the production of home accessories and furniture.

Woodnotes paper yarn rugs are pre-impregnated. This creates a thin molecular layer on the surface, which prevents dirt from being absorbed by the paper yarn.
