Furniture used to be a significant purchase, often passed down through generations. It wasn't simply thrown away after a few years. It was industry and marketing that tried to teach us that furniture is subject to fleeting trends and that, therefore, it makes no sense to build furniture elaborately with valuable materials—and, of course, not to pay much for it.

We absolutely do not share this view. When furniture is built with such high quality and timelessness as Zeitraum's Podest series, these marketing slogans do not apply. Then we are talking about sustainability in the best sense, about longevity and a low CO2 footprint. Then you will enjoy it for many years, and it is worth paying the high price because it spreads out over decades. There is a whole family of beautiful cabinet furniture. Made in Germany

This furniture is made from solid wood! No layered panels, certainly no chipboard or MDF. Only the back panel (available as an option for a 7% surcharge) is veneered plywood, or solid wood for a 9% surcharge.

The sideboard program is based on the ‘Modulor’ system of proportions developed by Le Corbusier. The proportion and arrangement of the drawers, doors, and flaps deliberately avoid the rigidity of symmetry, yet appear balanced in their asymmetrical arrangement.
