Light, effortless, comfortable and casual – these are the attributes that give this bed its name. Slim material thicknesses and fine lines characterize this bed. The lacing with core leather straps in the headboard is a refinement that further shapes the character of the Mellow bed – and truly comes into its own when the bed can stand freely in the room.

Scope of delivery

The scope of delivery includes the slatted frame from the Silent series by ZEITRAUM. It consists of 6-ply glued beech wood slats that are silently held in rubber caps. The Mellow bed comes without upholstered cushions and without a mattress. The matching upholstered cushions for the headboard are available in a selection of popular fabric and leather covers – please contact us for more information. The mattress insert depth is only 3 cm, the recommended mattress thickness is 12-15 cm. Here we recommend, for example, the natural latex mattress Varia Solo.

Colored Stain

With stains, the natural structure of the wood remains visible. This was particularly important for ZEITRAUM, as the furniture is unique due to the natural grain and color play of the wood. This is preserved through the typical semi-transparent appearance of the colored stain. ZEITRAUM puts a lot of effort into the surface treatment, which requires artisanal skill and cannot be applied automatically. Many individual steps of sanding, wetting, drying, staining and re-drying lead to the perfect end result, which is extremely durable. The microstructure of the wood is grainy, which makes the stained wood appear naturally matte and capable of developing a patina despite its coloring.

Special features
