Quiet, cozy, modern, and soft: these are the ingredients for our FRIDAY NIGHT bed. The designer duo Formstelle has created an extension of the FRIDAY family, bringing the comfort of upholstered furniture into the bedroom. In their design, textiles and wood harmoniously complement each other in their form language.
The backrest swings in a gentle curve from the headboard to the floor. Halfway down, the elegance of the form changes – it makes an unexpected bend, and the graceful backrest becomes the solid foot of the bed. The entire backrest appears to be cast from a single mold and, despite its stability, exudes a relaxed tranquility. In contrast, the front part of the bed seems to float in the air due to the inwardly offset feet.
FRIDAY NIGHT is not just a bed, but also a sofa, cinema armchair, breakfast lounge, and an oasis of calm. Thanks to the stable back cushions, you sit upright and comfortably. The delicate seam pattern transforms the backrest into a cozy cushion landscape.
When it comes to sustainability, many brands also forget to design something timeless. Zeitraum as a brand consistently achieves this, making it hard to estimate the age of the design—in the best case, it simply remains valid for a very long time. Thus, there is no design reason to replace the bed due to changing trends. Certainly not for quality reasons.
