This side table can be used in many configurations. As a soloist or as a duo with Waitress, it combines visual, haptic, and functional quality. Waiter nestles around a bed or couch, snuggles up, blends in, and awakens the desire for change. The bedside storage designed by Formstelle offers space for storing and placing all sorts of things you like to have around. The perfect servant for breakfast in bed!

Colored Stain

With stains, the natural structure of the wood remains visible. This was particularly important for ZEITRAUM, as the furniture is unique due to the natural grain and color play of the wood. The typical semi-transparent appearance of the colored stain ensures that this is preserved. ZEITRAUM invests a great deal of effort in surface treatment, which requires artisanal finesse and cannot be applied automatically. Many individual steps of sanding, wetting, drying, staining, and re-drying lead to the perfect end result, which is extremely durable. The microstructure of the wood is granular, which makes the stained wood appear naturally matte and capable of developing a patina despite its coloring.

ZEITRAUM developed the color palette in collaboration with the design studio Formstelle. Nature served as a model for the gray nuances, more precisely, the weathering-induced graying stages of wood. The vibrant accent colors, when used deliberately, create great contrasts.
