BASIC & COMFORT Natural Mattress System

The BASIC & COMFORT natural mattress system combines a slatted frame and mattress in one product. This means that the five elements: insert frame, Basic element, Comfort element, natural latex mattress, and wool underbed, are all components of the mattress system.

For your order, choose the desired mattress size and natural latex thickness. You will receive the complete BASIC & COMFORT system and will not need an additional slatted frame.

Product Details

Based on the findings of modern sleep medicine, Dormo Novo has developed this bed system with great attention to detail, combining mattress and slatted frame. With special consideration for optimal pressure distribution, individual adjustability, simple material composition, and the use of ecological materials, a healthy sleeping environment is created.

The BASIC & COMFORT bed system provides a luxuriously restful sleep. While the BASIC slats of the first level provide support, the elliptical slats of the COMFORT element on the second level adapt perfectly to every body contour. The statically precise calculation of the individual elements in relation to each other results in an ideal pressure balance across the entire lying surface. Together, BASIC & COMFORT constantly readjusts to every sleeping position.

Construction & Material

The BASIC & COMFORT bed system consists of several elements:

The insert frame forms the stable foundation of the bed system. It is made of untreated spruce wood, a native, fast-growing raw material. Two outer longitudinal beams and a central longitudinal beam with a groove serve for individual attachment of head and foot wedges. Connected with four transverse beams, they form the load-bearing substructure for our DORMO NOVO system.

The BASIC element consists of three hard-foamed 100% natural latex strips, encased in untreated cotton covers with zippers. These natural latex strips are connected to 40 untreated ash wood slats.

In the COMFORT element, the spacing of the 4 natural latex strips is statically calculated for an even pressure distribution, and 40 elliptical ash wood slats are used.

The natural latex topper (100% natural latex) functions as a point-elastic comfort layer and is available in two different thicknesses – 7.5 cm and 10 cm. The cover made of untreated cotton has a three-sided zipper. The breathable and temperature-regulating natural latex is a good choice even for allergy sufferers. The natural latex topper can be connected to the COMFORT element using the zipper.

The wool underbed made of 100% pure Merino wool ensures a perfect sleeping climate and always provides a pleasantly dry, warm, and soft feeling. A tensioning strap prevents the wool underbed from annoyingly slipping and ensures a visually perfect impression. Special Features

For double beds, the single bed elements can be combined. To avoid an annoying gap, we recommend a 100% natural latex mattress that fits over two single bed elements. Contact us for information on double beds or extra lengths.
